It was the late in the afternoon, mid summer, hot and sunny like a desert! I was out strolling the streets of downtown on top of my one love at the time. It was my Skateboard, and was the only thing that mattered at the time. With some friends we skated every spot we found from small ledges to straight up scary stairs! We eventually found a loading dock that was almost 5 feet high and I knew as soon as I saw it I had to do it! I maid several attempts but they all ended in failure. We ended up spending the rest of the day there because I wanted to land the trick so bad! I'm lazy at most things but when it came to skateboarding I always put 110%! It was getting dark and probably the last run I could make so I threw in everything on the line and stuck it out! "FINALLY"  I landed it and still can hear the voices of my friends cheering as I rolled away from the dock with my arms high in the air!

It was mid winter yet it was surprisingly sunny! I hadn't skated in months and was stoked to finally be back out on the board to feel the rough concrete of the road. what started as a normal skate day ended up as a nightmare before Christmas. I was a little to confident and wouldn't give up on a trick that was obviously to hard. I blanked out and woke up in a pool of my own blood and was rushed to the hospital! I had to get head surgery and from that day on I was stuck with a long scar across the top of my head!

  2. The sentence i liked was “It was mid winter yet it was surprisingly sunny.” Why i liked this sentence was because I too find the weather here weird :D I liked how you used Metaphor and concrete images. It really showed what happened in your acident. How i felt while reading this vignette was Curious, i wonder if you were not to wake up and just died o.o Scary.
